Request Membership in Cornerstone

Welcome! This site is only for current Cornerstone Community Group Members. Please complete the registration process carefully, being sure to follow the these directions. They are not just to look at if you have a problem. To register correctly, you need to have this paper next to you as you are completing registration and follow all of these instructions.

Complete family information questions and create a username and password. The system does not always give us the option to make questions required, so please take note of the following:

  • Father’s name and phone number is required.
  • A second email address for dad is encouraged. However, please be sure to answer, “If additional email address(es) are entered above, should they also receive weekly email and forum notifications, etc.?” yes or no based on whether dad (or other account holder) wants to receive all emails from CCG. Note that there will not be a weekly email or forum notifications; this only refers to us including dad in our normal and occasional updates that are sent from the Cornerstone Gmail account.
  • For “enable text messages,” please click yes for at least the primary parent on campus. This is not something we will be using regularly (as we must pay for every message sent), but we may explore it as a way to send a message in case of emergency.
  • You may upload a family photo if desired. It would be included in the family directory and will help families to get to know one another and connect kids with their parents.

Complete the children section and click the “Add Child” button until you have entered all your children.

  • For birthdate, CCG only requires a month and year. If you do not want to provide your child’s entire birthdate, please just choose the first day of the correct month as well as the correct year.
  • Very Important: If you have a student who will be on campus, but will not be taking classes, please select their grade as “nursery,” regardless of their actual grade.
  • If you have an older student who has an email address, please include it. Teachers will be able to use this system to send communication emails (including homework assignments) to parents and students.
  • We are not planning to enable the classroom dashboard function at this point, so it is not necessary for students to have their own login. If we have teachers who desire to use the dashboard to manage their classes, your student will need to have their own account at that point, and we will let you know.
  • You must indicate yes or no for students having Medical Notes/Allergies. If you choose yes, a text box will open. Please include any allergies or medical issues in which CCG leadership and teachers need to be aware. There is another question regarding learning issues; please complete that box if applicable. This information is kept confidential and is only shared with the relevant teachers.
  • The box “Show Child Information to Other Families” references whether you want your child’s info to be included in the family directory (see below for more details).
  • A picture of your child could be helpful as it will be included in the teachers’ rosters that they can view in the summer before school starts.

“Church Affiliation,” “Year you Started Homeschooling,” and “Family Business/Services” are all optional.

Under Privacy, choose yes or no to be included in the online membership directory on the members only website. This allows families to find one another and hopefully put faces to names (if you uploaded a picture). It includes your phone number and email, but your home address is not listed. It is optional for you to list your children. If you include your children, the only information visible is their name, age, and grade. Their birthdate and email are not included. If you upload a family picture or pictures of your children, they are included in the directory.

Forum Emails: choose no—this is not a feature we will be using as we successfully utilize BAND for our group communication.

Classifieds: This is not something we are going to set up right now, so you can choose no to both questions.

Complete the additional questions section. For the health insurance questions, if you have traditional insurance you need to complete questions #6-9 and you do NOT need to complete the health insurance disclaimer, which is a digital form. If you don’t have health insurance, answer questions #6-9 with N/A and then below question 9 you need to click on the digital form and complete it. In question 13 you must click on the link to a digital form to read the document, and then in the form check the box to acknowledge you have read and agree and then add your digital signature. If you do not complete the Policy Agreements form, you will not be able to enroll in classes. These digital forms will open in a new window that is mobile friendly. If you are on a computer, you can enlarge the window by using the mouse to pull down from the bottom right corner of the box and then you can scroll down.

The payment section will generate an invoice for your registration cost. You will not need to pay until March when we complete class enrollments, but this will allow us to keep an accurate accounting of registration fees. Your $100 registration fee includes one student. Each additional child on campus (regardless of whether they are enrolled in a class) is $15, so please choose the correct number of additional children.
